Apple Sets iPad Release Date

At distant last we know. Following rumors of manufacturing issues, the iPad is set for release on April 3rd. Preordering will start a week from today on March 12th.

Following the same manufacturing concerns many  analysts predicted that the iPad would initially be released solely in the US but that has proved false. The iPad will be additionally be released in U.K., Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Italy, Japan, Spain and Switzerland.

Initially only WiFi equipped iPads will be released.

Yet Apple´s hope is that the 3G equipped device will be available in each of the aforementioned countries by late April.

Pricing remains the same.

The simple fact is we can´t wait. Oh, and by the way is anyone coming down to Argentina with an additional half inch of depth and 1.5 pounds of room in their suitcase sometime in April?
